Pupuke Team Golf 9 Event
How does TEAM Golf work?

Open to girls and boys 15 years and younger on a shortened 9 hole course!

The format of play is called Ambrose and we play it in pairs. Its pretty simple, Pick a cool team name and off you go!
1. Start each hole by playing off the purple course, both players get a chance to hit the first shot and tee off!
2. Choose the ball which you feel is in the best position!
3. Using this one ball, alternate turns taking shots until you putt the ball in the hole. Simple! We encourage caregivers to caddy and join players on course!

The length of the course is shortened to suit young golfers. This format creates a fun, low pressure environment to play and learn together! There’s lots of fun to be had on the day, on the course and in the clubhouse for the whole family.
Join Pupuke Golf Club on Sunday 11th November at 1pm for our first team golf event! for more information please contact Lesley MacDonald gm@pupukegolf.co.nz or register Here, Please bring 10 dollars on the day, members and visitors welcome. Spaces limited.

Pupuke Golf Club
Pupuke Golf Club was established in 1914 and is one of the oldest golf clubs in the Auckland region. Located on Auckland's beautiful North Shore, just 10 minutes from the city, the club boasts spectacular views and a challenging course. Set close to native bush with strategically placed feature trees, the course winds through woods and opens up to beautiful views of the Hauraki Gulf.  Pupuke also was the club that both Lydia Ko and Michael Hendry both started their golf playing as juniors.
The original course was developed out of straggly grassland and secondary bush on undulating to difficult terrain, not ideally suited to playing golf. However over the years hundreds of trees were strategically planted and the land contoured to create an interesting and challenging layout. The course has been further developed and improved over the years and today provides an excellent golfing experience in a picturesque setting with outstanding views to the sparkling waters of the Hauraki Gulf.
Importantly, the golf course forms the greater part of “Centennial Park” which is a Recreational Reserve and a rare oasis of open space on what is otherwise a closely developed urban environment. It provides recreational opportunities not just for golfers but also the wider community, with walking tracks through regenerating native bush with flourishing birdlife. Few golf Clubs enjoy such a magnificent parkland setting
