She Loves Golf at Hororata

Open to all women of any age or ability, members and non members. Grab you Mum, grandmother or just get a group together and come and have some fun.

Wednesday Evenings from 16th of October.

Cost $5 per session

Includes nibbles

Refreshments available in the clubhouse afterwards

Come along for some golfing tips and then get out on the course and have some laughs. No gear required, this can be supplied.

We are running this event along side our Make Time Play 9 event, so bring your partners and they can play 9 holes for $5 and meet up in the clubhouse afterwards.

Hororata Golf Club

Hororata Golf Club is among the most picturesque clubs in Canterbury. Set on two levels of river flats with streams winding through the course, it is an enjoyable test of golf. The club’s 18 hole course is situated in the small rural town of Glentunnel, some 35 minutes West of Christchurch. Green fee players are welcome and are $30.

The Club has a Cafe' called the Willows Cafe', it is situated in the main Club house where you can sit and enjoy a coffee while enjoying looking out over the very picturesque course.

Course Features

The course is set across river terraces of the Selwyn River.

From the white tees it measures 5617 metres and from the yellow tees it measures 5005 metres for a Par 71.

There are picturesque plantings of strategically placed trees and a creek bisects 6 holes.

Target greens test the accuracy of even the best golfer and the hole lengths make for a pleasant experience for those less proficient.
