Helensville Golf Club
The Helensville District Golf Club Inc. was established in 1948, and moved to the existing course in 1959.
Located amidst farmland and lifestyle blocks, the course whilst on easy terrain offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities, with tree lined fairways and American Standard sand based greens.
With only a 35 minute drive from downtown Auckland, golfers can enjoy a tranquil round of golf, and relax afterward in the clubhouse with amazing vistas out over the parkland style course.
The Helensville Golf Club golf course is an 18 hole, par 71 for men and 73 for ladies golf course, with all of the features common to golf courses throughout the world and described in the section ‘The Game of Golf’. The golf course is 5587 metres long and is made up of the following:
The holes 1 to 9 for Men are 2721 metres long
For Ladies - 2508 metres long
The holes 10 to 18 for Men are 2866 metres long
For Ladies - 2729 metres long
There are: -
4 par 5’s for men and 6 for woman
9 par 4’s for men and 7 for woman
5 par 3’3 for men and 5 for woman
Club members and the staff alike strive constantly to improve the way the golf course and facilities are presented and are justly proud of the golf club.
Main Bar and Lounge
The Helensville Golf Club has a dining room offering superb views over the course that serves meals each day of the week except Mondays. The dining room and bar are the social centers of the golf club and have dress and behaviour restrictions.
Changing Rooms
There are showers and toilet facilities for men and women players with both having a large open plan changing room.
Golf Practice Grounds
A golf practice fairway and a practice green are provided, along with practice bunkers, a pitching practice area and driving net. Players are always encouraged to ‘warm up’ before play.
Golf Carts
The club has fidteen golf carts and six golf trikesthat can be rented at very reasonable rates from the Starters Office. However the Starters Office is advised on a daily basis by the Course Superintendent if it is too wet for the use of golf carts.
