Maungakiekie Golf Club
Maungakiekie - Proven to improve Golf!

If you're starting out in golf, playing casually and want to be part of a club or are trying to seriously improve your game here are three great reasons why you should consider joining Maunga’s:

GolfPoints - The ultimate flexible membership >> Not sure if you can fit Golf around a busy life or get full value from an annual subscription? No problem, that’s why we developed GolfPoints! Simply purchase the starter pack and then play like a full member, once you get low on points just top-up or convince someone to buy you a GolfPoints gift card and you’re away again! For more information visit

PlayBookPlay to improve >> You've learnt to swing the club now it’s time to learn how to play the game. Simply register and follow the member profiles that you like and you’ll receive invitations to play whenever they’re headed out on the course – you’ll quickly learn golf’s rules and etiquette plus get some killer tips from our better players.

No Neighbour Guarantee - Keep calm and enjoy Maungas >> Worried about holding up impatient players while you learn the in’s and out’s of golf? Relax, at select times during the week we offer PlayBook tee times with no group in front or behind yours. You’ll have plenty of time to improve your game and enjoy the serenity of the course.
Designed in the golden age of course design by Charles Alison this course requires all the shots whilst remaining fair to players of all abilities. If you master Maunga's then you can play anywhere which is how we've developed so many high performing golfers over the last 100 years.
The terrain and layout of the course take you far away from city life and the journey through the interior provides an element of seclusion so you can focus on your game while taking in nature.
The members lounge, outdoor bar and Cafe 1909 all sit at the highest point for miles around and provide stunning views of the course and the Waitakere ranges - it's a must see - and a great place to chill out.
But if you want to get your score down you'd be better off spending more time on our 170 metre long iron range or sharpening up that all important short game on our 40 metre chipping range, bunker range and practice green. A point not lost on our Junior Academy which runs each Sunday morning and is a great outdoor activity to keep the kids occupied while you get a bit of me time.
We've got everything else that one would expect from a golf course committed to meeting your needs: A fully stocked pro shop, coaching, warm up areas, golf cart and club hire age and new friends.
Come and check out Maungakiekie next time you're in Mount Roskill.
