Opotiki Golf Club
This picturesque 18-hole golf course with its unique 70-par layout situated on gently rolling hillside overlooking Opotiki Township offers readily available and pressure free golf for players of all levels. The course with its park-like feel overlooks the wonderful Eastern Bay of Plenty coast-line with outstanding sea views and puffing White Island framed by tree-lined, undulating fairways. For affiliated and casual golfers alike this course is a must to visit on any day of the week as part of your journey to the Eastern Bay or onwards towards (or indeed from) the Cape and Gisborne. The club's centenary year was 2018.
Opotiki Golf Club caters for individuals, groups and specialist events, with the club kitchen and bar facilities available for functions. We are close to many excellent camping grounds and some of the best beaches and fishing in New Zealand.
A course layout that offers changing aspects, with some wide, tree lined fairways, mixed with interestingly positioned tee-offs for fun, risk or reward opportunities. The No. 14 par 5, our signature hole, has foiled many a scratch golfer -indeed it is aptly named 'The Wrecker'! Short, but challenging. Take in the views and enjoy.
Practice area and green, full clubhouse amenities, including bar and roomy lounge area overlooking the township and sea. Lift to lounge area and wheelchair access. Electric carts, trundlers and clubs are available for hire.
