Waikare Golf Club
Waikare (Te Kauwhata) Golf Club, situated in the village township of Te Kauwhata, is less than one hour's drive from both Auckland and Hamilton and it is 2 kms from state highway 1.
It is a picturesque eighteen hole course with mature trees, native shrubbery and pond areas. development work started on the course in 1930 and it now has a course length of 5182 metres, with a course rating of 66.8 for men and 70.9 for ladies. The course is rolling to flat with narrow tree lined fairways and offers a very attractive variety of holes which can challenge both the low and high handicap golfer. It has been classed as a "hidden gem" and most if not all come away stating that it is one of the best presented courses in the North Island.
The clubhouse has all the modern amenities with Bar, Conferencing and Catering facilities. The vista from the players lounge is the best that most courses can provide.
